2022
For many years, the brush industry has invested in researching all options to imitate the special properties of Siberian Kolinsky Red Sable hair with synthetic fibres.
A most difficult task due to the particular structure of this precious natural material, which has become very rare and expensive over the last few years.
With da Vinci COLINEO (right) we have succeeded in creating a mixture of synthetic fibres, very similar to its natural ideal.
Miniature painters use the so-called „drybrush-technique“ to mimic rust, dirt and to create weathering effects. Also the grain of wood or the look of steel or fabric are accentuated.
In the world of miniature painting these effects are more and more popular. In cooperation with leading specialists from this growing market we introduce a choice of 4 different shapes: da Vinci DRY BRUSHES series 140 flat, sizes 6 and 8, series 143 round and series 145 in filbert shape.
da Vinci CASANEO WHITE, our well-known CASANEO fibre in white edition.

da Vinci DARTANA, „the strong arrow-shaped brush“. The carefully shaped, long tip and the strength of this fibre make it possible to both easily spread pasty colours and just as well draw fine details.
da Vinci DARTANA-SPIN, „the soft arrow-shaped brush“. This brush has very similar characteristics as the DARTANA above. Instead of strong synthetic fibre this one is made of our well-known SPIN fibre, so it can be used perfectly to spread liquid colours just as well as draw fine details.
da Vinci SYNTHETIC BRISTLE, a modern and vegan alternative to traditional bristle brushes. The robust and flexible fibre holds its shape even under strong pressure.
da Vinci CASANEO XS, tiny brushes size XS, which can be used in many ways. Due to their compact size, this brushes are perfect on the road and work really well with all liquid colours.
